Pre-Trial and/or Post-Trial Jury Reports *
Fee: $150 per hour

After an initial review of the trial documents and case strategy is made, a jury profile is prepared that offers guidelines for the de-selection of jurors based on demographic, personality, attitudinal, linguistic, and nonverbal variables.  If requested, recommended voir dire questions related to uncovering undesirable jurors are provided. In addition, supplemental juror questionnaires and accompanying motions for their use in court can be designed by us. After a trial is over, post-trial juror interviews can be done in order to obtain reactions to the presentation of cases.  This information can help you prepare for similar litigation in the future.

On-Site Jury Selection *
Fee: $150 per hour plus travel expenses

Dr. Matlon is available to assist counsel in the preparation of voir dire questions and in the selection of jurors by providing expertise in the observation of each juror's verbal responses, nonverbal responses, demographic characteristics, personality traits, and leadership potential. Juror attitudes and experiences are paramount in the selection process.

Mock Trials; Jury Simulations; Focus Groups *
Fee: Estimate submitted upon request

Focus groups, also known as mock juries, observe a simulated mini-trial after which they deliberate before a trained observer of small groups.  At the end of their deliberations, each mock juror is interviewed by the observer.  Focus groups are designed to help an attorney evaluate case theory, witness presentations, and the most appropriate argument strategies and themes.

Witness Preparation *
Fee: $150 per hour plus travel expenses

The preparation of lay and expert witnesses involves improving their communication skills so that they will make the best possible impression in the courtroom.  Specifically, the focus is on reducing anxiety and apprehension, increasing believability and credibility, and being clear and persuasive.

* NOTE:  All pre-trial preparation, including the reviewing of documents and videotapes, is billed at $150 per hour.
